Went shopping in crowded tourist market district. By looks, only one
other Westerner. I was embarrased I didn't know this huge city of 5M
existed.

Hit 83 in Hungzhou Wednesday. Hotel is brand new (Sheraton Four Points) uses heat or cool system. Stll on winter heat. Rooms too hot.

Air pollution is a huge issue in these Chinese cities. Reminds me of visiting LA in late 60s. Stings your eyes. Feel it in lungs.

Lake cruise. Looking at Hungzhou skyline. On great lake with many
tourists.

Arriving at Hangzhou for lake cruise. About 5,000,000 people live in
this city. Used to be one of China's capitals. Known for it's beauty.
We are taking famous lake cruise.

Heading to performance of "Rain" at Shanghai Theatre. Dinner was exotic- too much so. Took kids to KFC. Didn't like at all.

Believe it or not, this is lunch!

Silk carpet workers can only do four or five rows per day. Four by six
rug takes one and a half years.

Arrived in Shangai. 1 1/2 hour flight. Served hot meal. Amazing!

Good Morning, Beijing! First stop is a great buffet breakfast at the hotel. Foods from six countries including dragonfruit.

Skipped martial arts demo to eat at hotel. Great buffet of Sushi, Pizza, Indian and Chinesse. Outstanding!

Long wait in line to check in. Have waited more than hour to get seats. Still have to go to SWA to get bags.

I'm bummed. SWA didn't forward bags from MDW to LAX. I'm screwed if they don't come in on early flight!

Colin arrives from LVL at 7:25. We leave from here to LA at 8:25pm. Long trip for him. We arrive LAX at 11pm local. 2pm Colin time.

On the ground at Chicago Midway. Had trouble getting Boingo to work. Took me about 10 minutes. Anyone else have this problem lately?
